A classic delight of Ushuaia
Calafate jam is a typical preparation from Argentine Patagonia. Calafate plants produce a small berry, the size of a pea, which when ripe takes on a color between black, blue and violet.
After careful harvesting, because the fruits are found among thorns, you can prepare the delicious Calafate jam.
To do this, you must wash the fruits and then boil them in a pot with water. Then, you must mash the fruits and filter the liquid. To this preparation, add sugar with a little more water and let it boil until it reaches the desired consistency.
Calafate jelly can be kept in the refrigerator
